SUPPLIER REQUIREMENTS:
1. REQUIREMENTS: Vargo Tool and Die flows down the following requirements to the supplier.
The need to maintain:
a. A Quality Management System (8.4.3.k-1)
b. A process to prevent shipment of counterfeit material (8.4.3.k-4)
c. Necessary training and competence for qualification of employees to perform their responsibilities (8.4.3-c)
2. CERTIFICATIONS: Provide certification of process and/or certification of materials.
3. RECORDS RETENTION REQUIREMENTS: Retain Records for a minimum of 10 years. After 10 years, records may be deleted or shred. (8.4.3.k-8) (8.4.1.1-e)
4. NOTIFICATIONS: Notify Vargo Tool and Die of changes in manufacturing facility location, processes, products or services including changes to your suppliers and where applicable obtain Vargo Tool and Die’s approval. (8.4.3.k-5)
5. NONCONFORMING PRODUCT: Alert Vargo Tool and Die of any nonconforming processes, products or services and obtain approval from Vargo Tool and Die for disposition. (8.4.3.k-3)
6. RIGHT OF ACCESS: Vargo Tool and Die, our Customers, and regulatory authorities (i.e. FAA) have the right to access the applicable areas of facilities and applicable documented information at any level of the supply chain, involved in an Order. (8.4.3-L)
7. VERIFICATION ACTIVITIES NECESSARY TO MEET REQUIREMENTS: Vargo Tool and Die delegates the following verifications and all other necessary verification actives to the supplier that are relevant to the supplier’s operations. (8.4.2-6)
8. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Vargo Tool and Die, when applicable, may have requirements for the following that could be called out in the Order and/or the Print:
a. The need for specific interactions with Vargo Tool and Die (8.4.3-d) i.e. on-site visit
b. Verification or validation activities that Vargo Tool and Die, or our customer, intends to perform at the supplier’s premises. (8.4.3-f)
c. The need to flow down any applicable requirements including customer requirements. i.e. Material Batch Segregation. (8.4.3.k-6)
d. Use customer designated or approved providers including process sources. (8.4.3.k-2)
9. 7.3 AWARENESS: Vargo Tool and Die ensures that persons doing work under Vargo Tool and Die’s control are aware of:
a. Vargo’s Quality Policy.
Vargo Tool and Die is committed to provide High Quality Product, On-Time Deliveries, and Superior Customer Satisfaction through continuous process improvement.
b. Vargo’s Quality Objectives.
On-Time Deliveries: Vargo Tool and Die will achieve 95% or greater On-Time Delivery in a 6 month rolling period.
Quality of Product: Vargo Tool and Die will achieve 5 or less Quality Escapes in a 6 month rolling period.
Continuous Improvement: Vargo Tool and Die reviews the Quality Management System and will preform 2 process improvements each year to enhance the proficiency and effectiveness of the QMS.
c. Employee’s contribution (work and services) is important to Vargo Tool and Die’s effectiveness to our Quality Management System. Performance improvements are encouraged to be communicated to Vargo’s Management for obvious benefits.
d. The implications of Employees not conforming to work procedures. This jeopardizes Vargo Tool and Die’s commitment to our Quality Management System.
e. Employee’s documented information (record keeping), relevant to your work, is important to uphold to comply with all aspects of our Quality Management System requirements.
f. Employee’s contribution to product or service conformity (8.4.3.m-1)
g. Employee’s contribution to product and personal safety. Perform work so that actions do not create harm/injury/damage to product or persons.
h. Employee’s importance of ethical behavior Simply put, Apply Moral Principals and Do the Right Thing. (8.4.3.m-3)
